Cooking clicked for me in 2020, when our first child arrived and life got busy. My mother-in-law kept us eating well, especially with her Indian cooking, and I started learning from her because I wanted to keep eating that way. We still trade recipes, and she still challenges me. That spirit guides thebacklabel: follow what tastes good, credit the people behind it, and pay attention to the basics that make a dish work in a real kitchen.
