Sam Timberg

Sam Timberg is a 7 year wine industry veteran and is currently the Vice President of Sales and Managing Director of Meridian Prime, a fine wine importer with a focus on South African wines. Sam caught the wine bug after tasting wines in Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2005. He graduated from Middlebury College in 2007 and started in wine industry as a salesperson at the world famous New York City shop, Sherry Lehmann. Sam’s wine education expanded rapidly at Sherry Lehmann, however, his passion in wine remained focused on the fantastic wines of South Africa and after a year at Sherry Lehmann, Sam joined the trailblazing South African wine importer Cape Classics as the Manhattan and Long Island Regional Sales Manager where he worked for five years before he left to join Meridian Prime. At Meridian Prime, Sam works alongside founder and CEO Ross Toombs to craft the portfolio and build the sales team from the ground up.
