Recipe By: Join Jules

🍹 Fun Fact: The added water isn’t filler—it helps dilute the margarita the way melting ice would, and helps the boozy mixture freeze properly.

Ingredients

Margarita Popsicles
  1. 1 cup tequila blanco

  2. 3/4 cup Cointreau

  3. 1 cup fresh lime juice

  4. 3/4 cup pineapple juice

  5. 1 cup water

  6. 1/2 cup agave syrup

  7. Optional pinch of sea salt

  8. 9–10 very thin lime wheels, for garnish

  9. Tajín or flaky sea salt, for finishing

  1. Makes about 10 popsicles.

  1. SOURCE QA NOTE: Join Jules lists 1/2 cup agave syrup in the ingredients, but the published first instruction does not mention adding the agave when mixing. This discrepancy is intentionally preserved for editor review before publishing.

Step By Step

1️⃣ Mix The Margarita
  1. Combine the tequila, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, pineapple juice, water, and optional flaky sea salt until smooth and fully combined.

  2. Editor check: the source ingredient list also includes 1/2 cup agave syrup, but the published instruction omits it; verify before publishing.

2️⃣ Fill The Cups
  1. Divide the mixture among 3 oz paper cups, leaving about 1/4 inch of space at the top.

3️⃣ Add The Lime + Sticks
  1. Cut a small slit halfway through each lime wheel and slide it onto a popsicle stick. Place each stick into the center of a cup so the lime rests on the surface.

4️⃣ Freeze Overnight
  1. Freeze until completely solid, preferably overnight.

5️⃣ Unmold
  1. Run the outside of each cup briefly under warm water, then gently peel away the paper.

6️⃣ Finish + Serve
  1. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt or Tajín, if desired, and serve immediately.
