🍗 Fun Fact: Jerk traditionally refers to the complete method—seasoning, smoking and grilling—not just the spice mixture.

These skewers use boneless chicken thighs, a jerk-spiked marinade and a buttery honey-garlic glaze. Jerk Tavern cooks them at 400°F in the air fryer; the source recipe lists 10 minutes prep, 20 minutes cook time and 4 servings.

Ingredients

Chicken
  1. Wooden skewers, soaked in water

  2. 1 pack boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cubed

  3. 1 tbsp adobo seasoning

  4. 2 tbsp complete seasoning

  5. 1 tsp jerk seasoning

  6. 1 tbsp garlic powder

  7. 2 tbsp paprika

  8. 3 tbsp black pepper

  9. 1 tbsp mushroom sauce

Honey Garlic Sauce
  1. 1/4 cup honey

  2. 3 garlic cloves, minced

  3. 2 tsp mushroom sauce

  4. 2 tbsp sugar, or to taste

  5. 4 tbsp butter

Step By Step

1️⃣ Marinate The Chicken
  1. Combine the jerk seasoning, adobo, complete seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper and mushroom sauce. Add the cubed chicken thighs and toss until thoroughly coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes; overnight will give the seasoning more time to work into the meat.

2️⃣ Heat The Air Fryer
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F and lightly oil the basket.

3️⃣ Build The Skewers
  1. Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little breathing room between the pieces so hot air can circulate.

4️⃣ Air Fry Until Bronzed
  1. Arrange the skewers in a single layer without letting them touch. Air fry for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway through, until browned and the chicken is cooked through.

5️⃣ Make The Honey Garlic Glaze
  1. Melt the butter with the garlic in a saucepan. Stir in the honey, sugar and mushroom sauce and simmer until glossy and slightly thickened.

6️⃣ Glaze + Finish
  1. Brush or toss the cooked chicken generously with the honey-garlic sauce, then return the skewers to the air fryer for about 2 minutes to set the glaze. Serve hot.

The move: Give the thighs the overnight marinade if you can. Jerk is built around seasoning penetrating the meat, not simply sitting on the surface.
