Check Out Some of the Best Champagne Bars in NYC

Since rosé season has, sadly, come to an end, it’s time to shift gears to a different variety of wine: Champagne. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday or just the fact that you got through Monday, you don’t need an excuse to pop (pun intended) into one of these chic bubbly bars.

Air’s Champagne Parlor

This relatively new spot in the West Village is definitely boujee, but caters to a millennial crowd with a “50 Wines Under $50” list. A carefully curated food menu includes items like grilled cheese, oysters, french fries and caviar. Talk about a high-low price range – but we’re into it.

The Champagne Bar at the Plaza Hotel

This establishment just might be the OG of all Champagne bars, at least in New York. There is something truly iconic about The Plaza, whether you’re sipping tea in the Palm Court or bubbly at the opulent Champagne Bar, originally opened as the Champagne Porch in 1907. Enjoy snacks including luxe caviar, upscale sandwiches and divine desserts alongside your Champagne (or bubbly cocktail) of choice.

Corkbuzz

Conveniently located in Union Square, Corkbuzz doesn’t have the largest menu, opting instead for a rotating, highly curated list. In addition to a comprehensive selection of bubbly offerings, the eatery offers top-notch cuisine (also rotating seasonally), including cheese flights from Murray’s Cheese, and a variety of fresh seafood and pasta dishes. It’s the perfect spot for a foodie date night.

Flute

This midtown spot offers a happy hour, so it’s a perfect after-work gathering place for all of your Champagne-loving co-workers. Flute offers snacks and sweets, as well as three reasonably priced tasting flights of sparkling wines, pink champagnes, and fundamental champagnes. With a speakeasy vibe, the bar offers live jazz as well as champagne classes for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of all things bubbly.

Vini e Fritti

Though not strictly a Champagne bar, Vini e Fritti calls itself a Roman-style aperitivi bar that celebrates “the marriage of bubbles and salty, crispy antipasti.” They offer bottles of bubbly starting at $45, and snacks like potato pancakes, baby artichokes and marinated vegetables.
